1 month rotation at the Medical Clinic in the Squaw Valley Ski Resort

Squaw Valley Ski Area

Each Fellow spends a month at the medical clinic located at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort. Approximately 25 to 40 patients per day are seen in the clinic, most of which are traumatic ski and snowboard injuries. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills such as suturing, acute fracture management and dislocated joint reduction. The experience is very much “hands on” and one of the highlights of the fellowship year.

Community Sporting Event Coverage

  • Silicon Valley Marathon

Research

Working on a research project is a requirement of the fellowship program. Fellows have the option of participating in an ongoing research project or design and implement a project of their own. It is our goal to have the fellow co-author at least one publication during the fellowship year.
